You may or may not have noticed that I’m Australian.
Which is why I had to share.
Rather than getting offended by stereotypes, most Aussies are happy to be stirred because we’re pretty relaxed that way. If you do see us shrugging off our naturally relaxed nature, our enthusiasm tends to manifest itself in more of a kind of yobbo, bogan, Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, oy, oy, oy, kind of way.
No idea what I just said? That’s alright. Perhaps this link to Buzzfeed’s 26 Everyday Occurrences in Australia will clear things up for you a little.
And if the plentiful spiders, attacker koalas and emus, and pretty much every other type of native Australian wildlife doesn’t turn you off, we’d love to see you for a visit…hopefully you’ll discover us to be pleasant, appreciate our unique sense of humour and not be put off by our honesty. Not to worry, we’ll just sit you outside with the ‘hungry swooping kookaburras’ if you piss us off…
